Serving post Vietnam, pre Timor, Afghanistan and Iraq. During a period in history that included the Falklands War, the First Gulf War and UN deployments to Rwanda, Cambodia and Somalia. Alongside tens of thousands of Australians who served throughout two decades of peace.

From the Trenches
No Angry Shots is a highly entertaining read, telling the story of one digger's experience in the peace-time Australian Army. I worked with Steve for years, and count him as a good friend, I've heard a few of these stories in the telling. Now Steve is bringing them together into a longer story of a career, experiences, laughs, and lessons that has been a wonderful read. It teaches me some of what made Steve who he was, and still is today.
